Tasman
I wonder if anybody could recommend a law firm in BKK that they have dealt with successfully for the purchase of a house? I have a list of potential firms but would like to hear from anybody who has actually dealt with one and felt that they gave good service. Thanks. Nervous_Dog
Years ago I needed a legal document translated from Mandarin into Thai and notorisedd, I had only 24 hours. Called all the major law firms, as I was working for a big company, NONE could do it within 24 hours, no matter what, and the quotes for 48 hours where 40 - 80 000! I was walking dejected past Mr Ben's law firm, which is located in a phone booth under the Freeway, at Soi "Zero". I thought, what the fuck, so I asked him, "Sure, come back at 4 pm (10 am) It was ready on time, and the Thai company even had Chinese speaking stafff who commented how good the translation was! Would I recommend him? I think I got lucky! DOG
Flashermac
I spotted that "law office" a few days ago and couldn't believe it. I don't think there is room inside that "priest hole" for anyone besides Mr Ben!

Tasman
I was only joking really but maybe he can handle a property purchase - I couldn't see an email address on his 'contact details' but I may call. His name is Ben Yardley - doesn't sound very Thai - do you know where he is from? Cheers, Tas
Nervous_Dog
People I met where all Thai with someone not there who could do Chinese translations very well. The shop is just that, a shopfront, the real work gets done somewhere else. DGO
