elef
SD, I think you can take a flight from Singapore to Utapao.
OCgringo
When are they leaving ?????? all at once or will the "Royals" take their time leaving and screw the airport up for weeksafter the celebrations ? I would think landing at a military airport would be smarter OC

Great idea, but didn't Tiger Airways drop that route almost as fast as they picked it up? Or is someone doing this still? Samak, would much rather have chili crab, roti chani and teh halia on the island, thank you velly mutt! Cheers, SD
elef
Sorry SD, googled and found "Of particular mention, Jetstar Asia's flights to Utapao will be a new city link for Changi Airport . Passengers can now conveniently travel to the beach resorts in Pattaya" web page but it seems old news and not flying any more

The military side is the right side. The Royal Thai Air Force Golf Club is between the runways (I *love* that!): And if we look really close, we see what appear to be RTAF F-5s parked at the north end of the military tarmac: Cheers, SD
elef
Once I was on a domestic flight and the airplane landed on the military side, I was surprised seeing the golfers!
..
They seem to use both sides for civilian aircraft as it is about 70-30 for me favouring the runway closest to the terminal. I hate golf, but have accepted every invite I have ever gotten to play that silly little par 3 course! It's surreal. Only in Thailand...
