U.S. Customs searches...

Recommended Posts

You got to be kidding?

The Freedom of Information Act?

I can guarantee you that all you will get back is nothing. Customs can do anything they want with you while in their territority. Push too much you migh find SSSS written on your boarding pass and push even further, you might have to get cleared by Homeland Security before you can be issued a boarding pass.

As I said, these searches begin with being pulled from the line...could be based on appearance, or what ever...this last time, I think the bag I had indicated I had been in SOuth east Asia...(one of those big plastic reinforced shoping bags with a zipper you see lots of Vietnamese use...) In any event, there is no need for this shit, and if there is something in my record, I want to know what it is...I expect little from a FOIA filing, but I want this bullshit to stop...

For sure the USA is now an "axis of evil" in comparison to all the "freedoms" we *** used *** to have ::

I am doing business in mainland China and need to have a business meeting in the USA with several Chinese citizens/business people. Checking the US Embassy website, then Homeland Security, then the travel.state.gov site (listed below), they state "...a U.S. immigration officer of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) decides whether to allow you to enter and how long you can stay for any particular visit. Only the U.S. immigration officer has the authority to permit you to enter the United States."

http://travel.state.gov/visa/temp/info/info_1298.html

So, I can not know for sure how long any person with a visa can stay in the USA. Great way to be able to make business plans...not!!!

OH...maybe if you don't stand up straight, you get denied entry to the USA...or any of us!!!

Maybe they are looking for pedophiles also. If you have been to "pedo destination" countries combined with your perverted look might get you on a search list.

I think this is exactly what they are doing, profiling...and the trouble with that is, they are often wrong, and it is insulting/degrading to be pulled from a line and taken aside in this manner, especially if they are asking you about pornography within earshot of other travelers...(this happened to me before).

This last trip, most of those pulled over from the line, were single men with camera bags and lap tops...rediculis, but true...i basically get this treatment everytime, and am sick of it. As I said, by now, I have proven myself to them, so they should just back off me, and put the effort elsewhere...
