Mentors
Yes, Switzerland did beat Canada this year in Torino and there are a few more players starting to appear in the NHL and it will get better. I hear the Swiss are crazy about hockey and it's the 2nd highest paid league outside the NHL. The Russian League pay today higher salaries as the Swiss Hockey League. Swiss team SC Bern has most spectators in Europe. (around 16,500 per game) Today the opening games are: Group B USA- Austria Belarus - Czech Republic Group D Ukraine - Finland Russia - Denmark

trooper
These first games against "developing hockey nations" are pain in the ass. Germany gave a good performance against Canada though. I look forward when the real games begin
Damen
with the exception of the USA. How fucking sad. One of the 4 "major" sports and I can only get it on the internet. What the fuck is happening to this country Millions of people would rather watch Jethro and Billybob drive their cars around in a circle for 3 hours. Good game coming up Tuesday between US and Czech republic. It will be interesting to see how the young blood fares. At least we didnt roll Chelios and the other dinosaurs out there again
