Hong Kong

It's possible that I will be heading to Hong Kong in a couple of weeks on a business trip over the weekend. In such a case, can some of you advise me as to where interesting places are to visit?

I read in I think it was Newsweek that the Chinese twin-city of Hong Kong (forgot the name already) is reknown for its nightlife and the ratio of women to men is 4:1!

Anyone have the scoop?

Cheers!

You may find more action in Shenzhen, there is light rail, I can't remember what they call it, that takes you right up to the border crossing. It costs about $13.00 US for a VISA to cross the border (take your passport). As you come out of the border crossing on your left will be the train station and then a hotel. Just beyond that there are barber shops that have extras available. The women will call out to you as you walk by. When I stayed in Shenzhen in 1997 and started walking from my hotel towards the barber shops I was approached by three different women. The third was stunning and we ended up back in my hotel room. (I entered the hotel first and she had some way of getting past the desk, probably bribery, like Cuba it is not allowed). English skills are not common, but sign language works well.

I've heard there are some good places in Macau. (About 1 hour away by jet-foil).

There are a lot of girls in HK but most are very expensive. Last time I was there in 1999 I saw a lot of streetwalkers in Tsim Sha Tsui around the Kowloon hotel area on Nathan Rd and the street that has Bottom's Up on it but I can't remember the name.

Mong Kok is known for it's brothels and I think you can search ASP and find some info on that.

Other than that there are several hostess bars and night clubs and the girls are available but very expensive. Some are in Tsim Sha Tsui but I think most are in Wanchai. You might find more info in ASP.

As a previous poster mentioned things are expensive in H/K itself. Tons of office girls where you may get somewhere, you may not. Much $$$$ will be spent. I wrote a trip report on the old board but...

Wan Chai the place for late night activity. Many bars and discos. About 6 months ago wandered into a place called "Dusk till Dawn" a popular watering hole. Found 5 working girls from LOS there for 4 days to make some money. My tilac wanted H/K 2500 to start. With a little negotiation got her down to 1000H/K, 125USD, but was no experience like being in LOS. That was very short time ! GreedisGood wink.gif" border="0

I would not recommend Shenzhen if u r completely new to China. Prostitution is illegal and punishable with heavy fine, for both man and woman. The girl will end up in detention centre for at least 30 days and be fined for some 1200 USD, while the man will have to pay for some 900 USD for a start to get off, sometimes will be detained for 2 weeks as well. I heard that the authorities are a bit more lenient to westerners i.e. fine only with no imprisonment, but no one can tell. Last x'mas in Shanghai, an American was caught in a 5-star hotel and ended up appearing in the evening TV news!!! You never know when the government wants to demonstrate publicly it's determination to fight prostitution.

And for streetwalkers, some are traps either by the local police or gangsters. It's true that many chinese from HK go back to Shenzhen for cheap fun with no hassles, but just imagine u r the rarely found white man who stands out from the rest. If u have local business associates, that will be another story, coz most sucessful businessmen in china have strong connections with police and/or gangsters, they can guarantee your safety. If u r a newbie there for just a few days, forget it.

I would recommend Macau for a better choice. Go to the Macau ferry terminal at Hong Kong side(there's one in Kowloon, don't go there!!) and u will find a lot of small shops (same floor as the departure hall)selling packages for the Macau nite clubs. The package includes the round trip ferry tickets, one or two drinks, barfine and hotel charges. costs from 80 USD to over 150 USD depending on what time u go and ST/LT. U still have to pay the girl an xtra 1000HKD(125US) for ST or 2000HKD(250US) for LT. That's not negotiable coz it's the minimum amount set down by the night clubs. The girl will have to give back a portion to the mamasan or papasan.

Normally, u go earlier for ST will be the cheapest, but do clear off everything before u pay coz some packages do not cover all items!

Freelancer scene is also available. There r many street walkers inside and around the casino at Hotel Lisboa. But as someone earlier mentioned, Macau is a gangster controlled place, so streetwalkers are potential rip off or traps where u end up being robbed. For newbies, I would recommend the nite clubs which are though also gangster controlled, your safety is guaranteed. And most papasan and mamasan there speak fair english.

Afterall u go there for sanuk, not troubles. I learn a lot about BKK from this board, just hope that i can be of some help as well.

Be very careful with Macau. Lots of gang activity and the ladies are very hardcore. Best bet is definently going over the border to Shenzhen. So many ladies to choose from. Most come down from their villages from the North (just like in LOS) and since they can't get into Hong Kong, they end up in Shenzhen. Try the barber shops or hang out in outdoor pubs. Also, ask the hotel your staying at where the nearest massage places are. Really not to hard to find.

Thanks for the nice report. The prices you listed are very high. Why should I go to Macau when there are massage palors in HK (Mongkok) for HK$450? Are the girls much prettier in Macau?

thanks

Gilbert
