ThaiHome
...Quite comical watching. Well, I can tell you are going to be a big help. After living in Asia for 8 years or so, I stuggle with this everytime I go back to the US. Personally, I think it is a good idea to take shoes off, after all, they are filthy dirty from walking around. Why would you want that on your floors at home? WorldFun
well thats a good question to the substansial population where wearing outdoor shoes at home is the norm? of course I'm willing to side with the wife that outdoor shoes are to be worn only outdoors & indoor shoes vice versa But unless willing to 'fight' with every single visitor for the 'cable guy' to your friends its probably better to live the mai pen rai attitude
Fidel
When my GF visited Ireland with me one Christmas she found it bloody freezing. She walked into the house and found herself leaning against a radiator... all she could say was "Wow.. what's this?".

unit731
The last time they visited me here where I am now, the temperature was -15C. The temperature adjustment is somewhat of a trial. She is just amazed at how cold the weather can be. And the snow. I keep telling her, "Same, same, Chiang Mai".
