The journey is over - or just beginning . . .

He married a Thai gal.

He got married in village Summer 2005. Village and legal marriage.

It took him more than a year to obtain a visa for her to come to home country.

The saga is over . . . or just beginning.

We have been traveling to Thailand for decades now. He finally found one he liked.

Now, he is bringing her back here to live. Nice gal. Of all the gals he 'dated', this one is by far the best from my perspective.

But what are the chances of success? A Thai gal living in a Western country.

Hi,

Well, before the merchants of doom strike up their somewhat repetitious chorus I would throw this into the ring.

If he be a gud'un and she be a gud'un then the chances are as good or maybe better than the average. Tis all about the effort, the sacrifices, the compromises, after all.

As for the foreign country, it's a journey, an education, and a shared experience, live it, revel in it.

And good luck too, we all need that in varying amounts.

Now, bring on the noise !!!

Cheers,

M.

Well, they have arrived here in home country. I picked them up at airport.

Both had bags searched at Customs.

And as an anecdote. Once they arrived at his home here, he just walked in with luggage bags in hand. She stopped just outside door and took off her shoes and left them outside. Yes, it is done all the time in LOS. But not done here. Quite comical watching.
