drogon
I am actually looking to rent a new commercial space or at least a place where to open a second business. I tried using the property rental companies and none was able to find a single space...... (and of course all landlords refused to rent their houses/townhouses for commercial purpose) How do thais proceed when they are looking for a space to open a business???? ThaiHome
Recommendations and Referrals Despite the general consensus he is an a**hole, he got pretty much right on doing business in Asia. For example, my wife rented a shop house and she got it because she is known in the neighborhood and came recommended by a couple of other business owners. Bangkoktraveler
Where do you want the business to be? Location is very important but some areas, such as in some high end malls is almost impossible to get in to. Provide more info as to location, size, etc.

drogon
Thanks for your answers. I am looking for retail/commercial space to open a pool bar lounge, bar and restaurant and for rent. The space required would be 120-200 square meters. Location, lower sukhumvit (up to ekamai) or silom area. a house or townhouse would also fit my needs. So it means the landlord will have to agree to let me transform the place. If possible no key money requirement. Thanks

dddave
Well, there's the old MINISTRY OF SOUND, soi 12. Only B400,000 a month. Walk or taxi the soi's with sombody who reads Thai and look for signs, many Thai property owners don't use agents.

Bangkoktraveler
You might try looking at Siam Emporium on the corner of Suk and soi 8. The place should be opening soon so there might be space available. There are opening available at the big/new building on suk near soi 1. What is the place called .. Soi 1 complex or something like that.
