BGs have no clue about school costs especially for schools that are expensive or elite.

 

Why out of the blue would she investigate special education/schooling for her child? She would just be pleased that the kid would be in a gov school like other kids/moms in the same socio-econ class.

 

All they think about is can they afford books and the uniform for the child for whatever school that is available for them. They will mimic what they know...

 

If someone is working bar, costs like these are pipe dreams and the inclination to look into the value of education though i doubt anyone in her family or she knows goes to private schools and she herself would not hold education in such a high value. She/family was just getting by in the basics of life. Her value system does not change overnight....

 

There are easy ways to verify it is a scam. See what she says when you ask for the phone number/address/name of administrator of the school as you must pay it directly for some tax credit. Check their website for actual costs and say you will need a receipt (for taxes). Do it by credit card or cashier's check so you have an official receipt....

 

Then see what flies....

You need to figure a way to find out how many guys she is playing.

Bringing her an kid back to Canada with you is a good start. If she is eager that would be a good sign. If she is reticent and comes up up with a variety of excuses why she can't isn't a good sign.

 

It is very difficult to know whether you're being played or not when it comes to BGs. Especially one who has a track record with another farang.(the half farang kid)

 

How much time have you actually spent with her and the kid?

 

If she is a looker the chances of her still working are very high.

The chances of her having several regular customers is also very high.

Even if you got her out of the bar scene and stayed with her she will be reluctant to give up her regular customers who come to see her periodically throughout the year. This would be a very common scenario.

 

If you had the time to live with her here for a while you would be able to pick up the many telltale signs.

 

Put yourself in her shoes. She comes from very poor circumstances has a kid already and has one commodity she can sell to get money. She knows that her career has strict time limits.

Some of these girls are extremely clever and here in Thailand it is perfectly normal for her to work as many guys like you as she can.

It's up to you to take the time necessary to sort it out.

But if you are already seeing warning signs. Pay attention.

She may well be a jewel and just because she might be working a number of guys doesn't necessarily mean she isn't. It's a job for her.

Not knowing your job and financial abilities but if you are serious about this lady it's going to cost money any way you look at it.

40000 here, 50000 there, 20000 over there! It will add up.

If you bring her and child to Canada that will add up too.

 

If you can afford it fine, if not step back now.

best thing you can do here is communicate, communicate, commnicate.....with your lady, not the board.
