Neo
Catalunya race highlights by place: #1 Massa. Converted his pole position into a victory, but not without a few moments. He refused to let Alonso bully him off the track resulting in a collision, which amazingly did not damage the car, then a fuel spill saw him leave the pit lane in a blazing fireball but fortunately it burnt out. #2 Hamilton. Mister 2nd place is now leading the drivers championship. The McLaren just did not have enough speed to match the ferrari disappearing into the distance. #3 Alonso. Had to have been massively upset to qualify 2nd, missing pole by 3 hundreths of a second on his home track. Aggressively tried to put Massa in the dirt to claim first place off the first turn, only to find himself bouncing off the ferrari into the dirt, losing a place and dropping behind Hamilton, and sustaining slight damage that kept him out of the hunt the rest of the race. #4 Kubica. Promising car and driver for BMW, but still no match for Ferrari/McLaren. #5 Coulthard. So he's still got a little racing left in him. #8 Sato. Scores first ever point for Super Aguri, no longer the laughing stock of the grid, they are on their way up the order. #12 Button. The honda is shite. He finished behind both of Honda's hand me down cars. #15 Heidfeld (retired). MORON IN THE PITLANE waved quick Nick to go before the wheels were on the car, ruining his race as he left with a lug gun in the wheel and it fell out with the wheel nut. Ruined a promising peformance. #19 Kimi (retired). So not even Ferrari can build a car that can hold up to the Finn.
Neo
Hamilton crashes out of second practice 24 May 2007 It seems Lewis Hamilton's Formula One honeymoon is over - temporarily at least. The McLaren star made his first significant error of the season on Thursday afternoon when he put his car into the Monte Carlo barriers.

Neo
Hamilton had a great weekend driving and lucked out on the safety car stints resulting in a real comfortable win meanwhile his main competition was going backwards. To see how much luck played a role, look at 2 other drivers. The guy who started DEAD LAST in a back marker finished 4th! Another back marker (Wurz) started 19th and ended up on the podium!!! What an event packed race. 2 black flags. The Kubica crash was horrendous when the car got some air under it and sailed into a wall head on at 180mph. He looked dead before it went into the "death roll" ripping the car to shreds. It's amazing someone can have no major injuries and he may even get back behind the wheel next week! They need to transfer some of the more practical safety technology to road cars. That's unreal. McLaren looks way ahead of everyone else at this point in the season, but still the battle of Hamilton vs Alonso is interesting.
