scott808
Anyone know which hotels allow you to bring girls to your room and which ones that will not? What about a website with info? Thanks!
DSbadger
Are you talking about Bangkok?
scott808
Yes, Bangkok. Going this summer and hoping to get a nice place that allows you to bring up girls.
Old Hippie
Better to ask about a specific place. Many will allow girls in, many will not. The lists are too long to list. Also depends on how you book, and who you book through. Example. One place I satayed (Mandarin) had no problems letting me bring a girl in. I went back 2 years later, part of an airfare package deal, and had to pay a 500bht Joiner fee for bringing a girl in. Reason given was the promotion rate, and the booking agent. Best to book directly with the hotel, and ask if thery have a joiner fee, or if you can have a guest in your room.
DSbadger
To many to mention. Try reading some trip reports, you will get both accommodation question answered and some relative advice too.
Nervous_Dog
Actually a list like that would be pretty good, along with a map of shortime hotels!
sekander
There used to be a great, multi-colored map of the Sukhomvit area that had guest friendly and non-friendly hotels color coded. Had just about all of the hotels in the area on it. Is there still a link to it?
YimSiam
The Thaihoteldiscounts site has a list of some of the Bangkok hotels that are 'guest-friendly' - click the banner at the top of this page. YimSiam
DSbadger
How much does Scott want to pay, is a pool important, is the size of the room important, etc etc. Scott, it sounds like your first time so I will give you (IMHO) 3 guest friendly choices. 1. Nana hotel - a bit worn, but right across the street from the action. It is cheap and has a pool. http://www.nanahotel.co.th/html/index.html 2. Grand President - A nicer place if you get a remodeled room. Most of the Topaz suits are and you can get them at 2200 baht here. http://www.asiatravel.com/thailand/grandpresident/index.html that's 200 baht cheaper than if you go to their site directly. I personally think it is a bit over priced. But it is nicer than Nana. 3. If money is not a problem. JW Marriott http://www.circleofasia.com/Bookings/HotelsDetail.asp?id=HBKK0073&from=adword.hotel.JWbangkok&gclid=CIzo4-H_lIoCFQ6kWAoddmxjmw all are guest friendly and there are many many more to choose from. However, having a pinned list of Guest Friendly and Guest unfriendly hotels IS a good idea. As long as we can agree on what is guest friendly. To mean that means two things. 1. No joiner fee's 2. Always treating me and my guest with respect. Some punters think that guest friendly means they didn't call the BIB on me, but they charged me an extra 600 to 1000 baht. Encore
Some time ago the GP was saying that you'd have to pay a surcharge for a guest, don't know if they still do, haven't been back since the price hike.
