FAT_AUSSIE
Hi Guys. Shortly I will be travelling with my wife and daughter BKK to OZ. My wife has temporary residence in Australia and we would like to travel next time back here to Oz on a one way ticket. Now I know normally this mean's we would'nt be allowed to even board the aircraft, but given that my wife has temporary residence I'm thinking that we should be O.K. anyone with any personal experiences? Julian2
Why not get a return ticket, it's not a great deal more and in twelve months she'll probably feel like a trip back anyway. Can't work out if you've bought it yet or not.
FAT_AUSSIE
will be back in LOS soon then back in OZ and not returning to LOS for over a year.Hence the one way ticket. Have decided to give the sis in law a chance to come here for a while, later this year. We want to travel to some other destinations, Indo, NewZealand and the OZ east coast plus builing another house. Something had to go, so Its next years trip to spend a month with the out-laws in LOS. Every cloud has a silver lining. Will be back in early 08. FA.... shygye
AUSTRALIA (AU) Passport required. - "Resident Return" visa; or - "Authority to Return"; or - "Return Endorsement" required. The latter two are valid provided the holders are returning to Australia within 3 years of most recent departure (as evidenced by "Departed Australia" stamp in passport). They are also acceptable in expired or cancelled passports or travel documents provided the holder also has a valid national passport. Nervous_Dog
Trouble is a 12 onth return ticket costs a LOT more than a 1 month ticcket, no idea why but thats the case PLUS if she is immigrating, maybe 18 onths before a trip home?
