Electricity bill

I have got all the usual appliances like washing machine, computers, TVs etc and mine is about 2,000 baht a month when I run the air-con every night (I seldom use it during the day time).

Last month's bill, which was for the cool season, was for a mere 670 baht - because I didn't use air-con much for the best part of a month.

It seems that the two things that use power the most are air-con and hot water.

Firstly, running aircon is not that fun, it dries the air. I rather run ventillators, have ceiling fans in each room and a vent blowing right now where I sit near my comp. When I hit the bedroom I run airco for one or two hours, only when real hot (+35C in room) I have it run all night.

Evenings we sit and chat under the porch outside, just fabolous as compared to watch TV in ColdWetLand.

How the hell do you guys live without aircon on all the time?

Living here, you get use to the heat and the humidity.

If you are always in air con, then when you do venture outdoors you will suffer like never before!

I use the air con at night or if I am in my "office" on the PC. Otherwise, just a fan to move the air around when eating or watching TV, etc.
