youtube banned?

Heres a quick fix for this, if it is just a DNS redirection by your ISP.

 

If your using Windows XP, browse to:

 

%systemroot%\system32\drivers\etc\

 

in that folder you will find a file named "hosts" with no file extension (it is a text file, but has no file extension at all).

 

Open this file in Notepad, and at the very bottom, add the following line:

 

youtube.com 208.65.153.253

www.youtube.com 208.65.153.253

 

This will override your ISPs dns for these 2 domains. If you get re-directed to another sub domain, you should be ok (such as www2.youtube.com, or videos.youtube.com).

 

You can do the same for any domain that you want to re-direct.
