The only reason I spent any time there was the chopper from offshore didn't get in until after the plane back to KL had already left. 3) Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Russia - Cold, the people are miserable and the place is expensive as f#ck. Probably as expensive as Moscow. 4) Aberdeen, Scotland - Has to be the largest collection of ugly people in the world. And wonderful personalities to go along with the horrid looks. 5) Mexico City - The pollution, rampant poverty, and over crowding earn this shithole a spot on the list. It's the most Islamic town in Peninsula Malaysia, and the parliamentary seat there is held be PAS, the Islamic hard-line party. (The only seat they hold in Malaysia I think). It's only saving grace is that it the access point for the Perhentian Islands, which are stunning. More naturally beautiful and untrashed than any islands I've seen in Thailand, that's for sure.
