Although P'lok is not in Isaan, it does stretch all the way to the Lao border. And how does one explain Petchaboon - which is officially in the north, even though people in the western part speak Central Thai and in the eastern part speak Isaan Lao? I asked mi wi mee about that, the cow for every family, and where were said cows? As we were in the village just out of Surin at the time, I woulda been interested to see some new cows. But there were none! But not Wacky's fault, seem there weren't enough cows to go around. Whereupon I asked if there were any cows at all? Seems folks suddenly switched to eating kweitiou look chin to save money. Something like 70% of the cattle and 60% of the buffaloes got chopped up into little pieces to make look chin.
