BUT, last time in, they spent the time to add them all up. New immi officer or a directive to enforce this more? :dunno:

they never counted mine! :neener:

it maybe helps that my (only 2 year old passport) is already 3/4 full and has so many stamps from so many countries...and the Thai stamps are just shattered over the whole passport. he could spend more than a hour to count...but i will help him as i have a spreadsheet on my laptop with all the ins and outs.

and SD, do you have a return ticket with you when you enter Thailand?

There is a new brochure at the airport when you arrive. "To remind the travelers Thai Immigration Bureau"

Here is a sample of what it states:

Type of Visa: Visa Exemption (Ordinary passport):

Passport of countries in List A.

Stay permit: not exceeding 30 days per each entry and a cumulative duration of stay not exceeding 90 days within a six-month period, counting from the day of first entry.

List A includes 37 countries including Aust, Japan, US, UK etc...

Excluded from this requirement are citizens from Brazil, Chile Peru, South Korea and Argentina, along with Hong Kong, Laos, Macau, Vietnam and Russia.
