How to read Thai addresses (moo!)

Funny, for a long time I thought that Moo Baan was a derogatory term for a small village where the occupants mainly consisted of pigs.

different tones: falling/rising on "pig" and low on "village". btw, the same "moo" used for "village" in thai also means "friend" in Lao/Isan, but in that case it has an even (mid) tone.

....what does the "149/352-61, Moo 9" part mean?

I had thought that perhaps 149/352-61 was a mathematical equation from which you could calculate the house number, i.e. (149 ÷ 352)-61. However as that equates to -60.58 I quickly realised that it wasn't correct. :doah:

Then I had another look and thought that perhaps the equation was actually 149 ÷ (352-61) but as that equates to 0.51 I realised that it was probably also not correct.

Thankfully though, Suadam explained it all in a much more plausible way.
