..
Too bad somebody around him didn't have a gun so as to have been able to send him to his happy hunting ground when he started killing people. Everyone in Iraq has a gun. So by your theory it should be the safest place on Earth. Somehow it ain't workin' out that way is it? Cheers, SD -- waitin' for the lame-o excuses... Somehow it ain't workin' out that way is it?"[/color] According to your way of thinking, Chicago should be safe and Washington D.C. should be very safe. Why did you choose a country that is having a civil war? And where did you get the info that everybody in Iraq has a gun? That is new to me. How many Barrett rifles have been used by criminals? So far, none. Where is this gun generally used? Iraq, Afghanastan, etc. What is it used for? Sniper rifle. The hardest part of using this gun in the USA (yes, some citizens do own one) is trying to find a gun range so as to use it. Why would a citizen want one? Everybody should have the right to be able to defend themself. This is a fundamental, universal right which is being taken away from us. The right to possess a pocket knife in your pocket is against the law in certain areas of the USA. If people were allowed to defend themselves, would there be so many incidents of people going around killing large numbers of people?
..
As I said, lame-o argument that does not stand up to any scrutiny. Funny how Canada or Australia for instance don't seem to have bands of maurading gangs killing people, yet have sensible gun laws. Bangkoktraveler
As I have said before, which you never answer, if a lunatic starts shooting and people die and his sights bear down on you, would you be happy that nobody has a gun? By the way, your argument does not hold water. Instead of using other countries, explain why there is so much crime in some of the best gun controlled cities in the USA such as Washington D.C. and Chicago? According to your philosophy, they should have a dramatic reduction in crime?
