Hugh_Hoy
Word from a BG at Shark (SC). Bar fine the night of Loy Krathong (Saturday, the 24th) will be 1200 baht. I would assume other bars will have similar one-night increases. Budget accordingly. LOL. HH

Bangkoktraveler
It will slow some guys down and hopefully bring in the lowest amount for bar business.
Flashermac
Maybe the bar fine includes the price of a krathong.
Old Hippie
The bars usually pull this crap on the holidays...the fucked up part is, they do it to keep the girls from ditching work, and to stay in the bars...but they seldom get bar fined at the higher price...give the girls the night off if they want! Hugh_Hoy
Well, if they didn't raise the barfines, the girls would take the night off or pay their own barfines. If you're a go-go bar, you might as well close the place up that day; or, in the case of Songkran, several days. BTW, heard from my original source that after midnight, barfine might drop to a mere 800 baht. Such a deal ! HH
Old Hippie
yes, but higher bar fines means less bar fines paid...I would assume...but yeah, I guess he sells drinks so...
