samak
without a bit of chinese or cantonese or a local bringing you around, you will have troubles to find sanuk. i go there only for business reasons. if you want sanuk go to the nearby Shenzhen, just 1.5 hours drive, less troubles for westeners! adanac
While I was there I cant remember my hotel but a 4* beside the river, a park and subway station. There were freelancers in front every night. Also I went to discos every night and there were many freelancers available. The hotel front desk had a paper available in english that listed all the night clubs. Ask for that paper while there and you will find lots available in that city. MooNoi
Just check into your hotel (preferably a "Chinese" hotel, rather than one of the big US chain hotels) as a single guy and your room phone will invariably ring asking if you want company. This goes for most cities in China IME.
