Mekong
For all you young dudes the other side of memphis, plans are afoot to bring Ian Hunter (Mott the Hoople) over to Thailand in September. I should know more by mid March but it is looking promising so far!

Fiery Jack
Are we talking "You're Never Alone With A Schizophrenic" Ian Hunter? The one and only, the great Mr Ian Hunter. One of the best, and one of the nicest blokes in the music biz. Still rocking at 67, God bless him. jack

USVirgin
Once Bitten - Twice Shy Lots of info on Wiki and his own website. Saw him a couple of times early in his solo career and I'd definitely like to see him again, especially in Bangkok. He was one of my favorites, right up there with Iggy and Lou Reed. Too bad Mick Ronson ain't still around to tour with him.

Mekong
and as USVirgin pointed out he also collaberated with Mick Ronson (David Bowie Spiders from Mars band) All the Young Dudes Hunter / Ronson / Bowie at the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert. He is 68 now, he will be 69 IF it comes off, some of you may have read the column in the Pattaya Mail by a good friend of mine "Mott the Dogg" who was also one of the original founding members of Jesters Fair Care 4 Kids Charity in Pattaya, he and I are trying to set it up for this years Jesters Fair. Ian Hunter has never played in Asia and the money he has made he has no need to, but we are offering him and his band flights and accomidation (ie a free 2 week holiday in Pattaya) and a fee which we hope he will give back to Jesters to come and play a one off gig here for the Jesters fair 2008. It's early days yet but he seems up for it, the email communications are still ongoing, if / when he confirms then we will consider approaching Paul Jackson (BEC Terro / Virgin Radio) for a BKK gig as well. Keep your fingers crossed for us, this would be a major scoop for the Jesters if it comes off.
