Old Hippie
It was a decently done "film." Good Acting, and all that, but it all just sort of lead up to a big nothing in the end, leaving me with that "what the fuck was that?" feeling at the end...when it ended and the lights came up, I and a few people literally said "What the fuck?" still trying to sort it all out...just didn't really get the full er, what ever it was I was suposed to have gotten from it. zzzz
A film like that is referred as being nihilistic. WTF is a typical reaction for a nihilistic film.
colorwolf
it's a marvellous movie...acting, camerawork, script...all excellent... what more do you want? happy couple strolling off into the sunset?
Old Hippie
I said all that about it being a decent quality, it just sort of didn't add up in the end, and I hate predicable happy endings.
chuckwoww
I think you got it OH. 'No Country' is a movie for the WTF Age.
Old Hippie
Yeah, but even some of them, maybe most really seemed to have the same reaction I did. This was at one of those artsy fartsy theaters in Albany California (near Berkeley) with the couches and wine bar...you'd figure a few more would have gotten it. I was told "...it means there are no laws, and that the evil killer goes on for ever..." yeah, got that, but so what, sort of knew that anyway...I have to admit, I went in expecting a whole different theame/movie, it was good, just...WTF...? Fiery Jack
I rented it on DVD last night. Great to see Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau back together â?? "I've laid more pipe in this town than Wabasha Plumbing!" â?? but, Oscar material? Hmmn. jack
Julian2
That's a shame, I was looking forward to that movie. They didn't happen to forget to show the last reel did they?
