unit731
So I was having my routine teeth cleaning. The dental hygienest provided me with a tonge brush. She told me I also needed to brush/clean my tongue in addition to brushing my teeth. Is this for real? How many 'brush' their tongue?
Badger77
It takes some getting used to but does help you have decent breath. I've been told the same thing and took the advice. Gargle, floss, brush teeth, brush tongue. Takes longer than the one minute I used to spend.
big tuna
It only takes a few seconds after brushing, then I use mouthwash.

She told me I also needed to brush/clean my tongue in addition to brushing my teeth. Is this for real? How many 'brush' their tongue? I spent a few years in London and Amsterdam and to my amazement people laughed at me when I told them that I also brush my tongue. In India it´s normal and in addition to brushes they sell special tongue-scrapers. It's important not to forget the backside of the tongue (in your throath). big tuna
I can only get the front part of my tongue, otherwise the gag reflex kicks in and I might puke.

FreeTime
Yes to tongue cleaning with a toothbrush. A spoon also works well to help clean the surface.
Julian2
Yes with the tongue, agree with bust that pubic stubble is the best way. Last time I had my teeth cleaned at the dentist she advised me to brush up under the top lip as well.
