rogueyam
Bet he also believed in the Constitution, a pinko document written by revolutionaries who had overthrown their lawful government! The Constitution makes the President the Commander in Chief of the United States Military. Adm. Fallon was the Combatant Commander for Central Comand. He reported to the Secretary of Defense who in turn reports to the President. Adm. Fallon made headlines last fall by giving assurances to the Egyptians that war with Iran was ruled out. Word out now is that Fallon's statements were not authorized by those in whom the Constitution vests executive authority. This is insubordination, a decided no-no in the military. It has nothing to do with partisan politics. Sorry guys.
Fidel
And who does the POTUS answer to? If the majority of Americans want the war to end, why do the crooks in power refuse to end it? An ABC-Washington poll found that a whopping 34% of Americans think the war was/is worth fighting.
Hugh_Hoy
Why does the Kremlin worry about who the Prez reports to? And when did the Kremlin worry about polls? HH
Fidel
Ah, the Kremlin. Good analogy, Hugh. I'm impressed. The Whitehouse... the Kremlin...
Fidel
So, you don't believe in rule of the people, by the people, for the people?
Hugh_Hoy
Just thought it might be instructive to us here in the big evil empire how things are thought out and responded to in your country of preference. Hmmmmm...maybe I should've asked about how things like this are sorted out in Havana? HH
Fidel
I've said it before, and I'll say it again. I picked the name "Fidel" purely at random when I started posting here over 7 years ago. It means nothing, so don't bother trying to draw inferences from it.

AF16
I'm always surprised that there is such a huge resistance against the US invasion of Iraq on this bb. Usually quite a number of Americans support the actions in one way or another, but not on this bb. Could it be that whoremongerers are just plain smarter than other folks, or have a better sense of morality ...sort of?
