Old Hippie
Last Sunday, CTO and his family invited New Mrs Hippie and I to go to Dalat Mah Har Chi. So we loaded up 5 kids and the adults, and headed down to... The ride to Maharchi cost 10bht for adults, and 5 bht for kids...er something like that, and took about 1.5 hour or so. SOme sights from the ride... Conductor/ticket taker... Who appeared suspicious when he saw a Thai girl reading... This guy was called to check out the situation...! O.k. jokes aside, there was a lot of great scenery, and the open air train was great for a nice breeze, and some photos... This kid showed his best manners with a warm welcome... One of the stops along the way...
Old Hippie
After awhile, we arrived at the market. It is a great place to walk around and see many cool things, buy food, and eat lunch. Many of the following photos were taken at 1600asa, under some weird lights, hence the interesting colors... The people were very friendly! These 2 were really nice, and I dazzled them with my Thai language ability! They were very funny, and New Mrs. Hippie got a bit jealous of all the attention I was getting, and went here... The area is largely know as a fishing port and distribution center, and offers great seafood meals as well as the other fair. Over all it was a great day, and was an easy trip, and was a nice break from Bangkok, and I highly recommend it.

CTO
I love trains, roads go around places people live, you see very little from a road, trains go through backyards, you see everything

Old Hippie
How could you possibly know the difference between good art and bad art? Still playing with those "paint by numbers" kits?
