Torneyboy
Hi, We've so far had 3 snakes in the garden. A green one, a black and green one and a 2 meter long python. Oh, and I live in the middle of Bangkok. Sanuk! Oh dear that has upset my day

rookie
A few years ago I saw a snake in the distance, slowly crossing the fairway of the golf course I was playing. It was about 8-9ft long (!)...and I wanted a closer view. Hoping it was a cobra (I'd never seen a large one in the wild), I ran the 100-yards towards it, carrying a golf club (just in case) for protection. I got about 10-yards away and it saw me running towards it. I was shocked as that snake which was slowly lumbering across the fairway suddenly took off and was in the rough/tree section in an instant. I was amazed that a snake could move that fast! Yes, it was a cobra...and I no longer run to investigate large snakes

Sukhumvit
Saw the remains of a squashed snake in central Phnom Penh a few weeks ago. The little blighters get everywhere.
rickfarang
The snake was only minding its own business, it was its misfortune to encounter you. Live and let live, unless, of course, it means only one of you can live!
