What the hell 500$????

About Thai banks: Provided you have enough on your account (and your credit history etc...)

you can change your daily and monthly limits.

I did it and it was without problems

(at least 10 months ago and I had quite a bit more than 1K bht on the account thus without problems)

Note: Even my Spanish banks did not make a fuss when I asked to raise my daily limit to something about 60K bht/day both for my debit cards

(visa electron and mastercard debit) and my credit cards (visa and mastercard)

Its a percentage - havent worked out the exact figure, but almost $12 on a withdrawal of $330 has me thinking that the percentage is < 4%, if my maths is any good - just comes as shock when you see it on the statement. What was the amount for your $4 fee ?

:hmmm: You could be right, GD.

I just had a look at the CBA's Terms and Conditions for Streamline Savings Acct

and it seems that there's $2.00 fee PLYS percentage now.. but they still charged me the flat-rate of $4.00 per withdrawal last month in LOS regardless of the size of withdrawal - 100 baht or 20,000 baht.

Maybe they terms and conditions are for new accounts. Not sure.
