bust
You would think they could get their name right. The Padaung People... Bit of a misleading headline as you can be guarnateed it was a Thai national who set it up probably the low life they arrested. I am sure the local BiB are not happy having an income source taken away.
khunsanuk
Hi, "and are easily recognizable by their long necks covered by metal rings" That might work with the women, but I've never heard of the men doing the same thing. So, how do you 'easily recognize' the men? Sanuk!
Julian2
I've never seen Padauang women around here although there is a Paduang village that encourages tourism on the other side of Chiang Rai. I've never been there or known anyone that has as I feel the same was as bust who has commented on this "human zoo" type slavery on numerous occasions. Most hills tribesmen dress similarly when working, baggy pants and sometimes a turban. I've seen older men wearing a sword. I've had a look for their ceremonial garb online but can't seem to see anything for Paduang men, though doubtlessly they have one.
