samak
location: mid Ekamai, from Big C hundred meters further up when coming from Sukhumvit on the left side people come for food, not for atmosphere (sorry SD!); a simple outdoor restaurant with a roof, one could say. no fancy decoration, just food! and it is cheap for all you inflation ridden folks and they have a menu in english for all you folks, who after so many years in LOS still can not read a thai menu! gai yang (grilled chicken): 140 for whole, 70 for 1/2 many different larbs and nam toks: 50 som tam: 40 beer chang (large): 60 so a isaan feast for 2 is not more than 300-400! menu is very extensive and goes beyond your usual isaan dishes! samak
by the way the name of this venue was "Sabaichai gai yang" in the past. heard that the owner of the nearby Gepthawan live music venue took over. but prices remained pretty much the same as i can recall!
