drogon
I do prefer that you try the restaurant and I could not care less who you decide to support. Great conspiracy theory: One Samak is not the other? Who knows if he is not the real Samak trying to get a "feel" about the support he could get from the local expats? samak
i AM the real Samak! the PM is fake, so i hope the counterfeit police will crash him pretty soon!
drogon
But but but, fake Samak is so funny (seen from here) You seldom see and hear about such a politician who one day says yes and the other says no. (our politicians do the same but they wait a bit before changing their mind) Anyway, he can not be that bad as he loves food
samak
2 days ago during a speech on TV, he was picking his nose! good manners for a PM!

manaomaiminam
Have been going there for about a year as I live relatively close by. Good soft-shelled crab and extensive seafood menu (although I have not explored it fully). The Lab gai is good, as are some of the salads (I am fond of yam kaw muu yang) . Hopefully, the owner of Geb Tawan does not mess with the menu too much as I don't think much of the food in Geb Tawan itself. In general, agree with what was said already, large selection, the non Issan food is pretty good too, relatively inexpensive, and pretty full of Thais eating most of the time, which usually speaks for quality and price. Barry
Is that the open air place with a tin roof, plastic chairs and nasty old fashioned Thai toilets? My bg friend takes me there when she wants to pig out on my expense on live shrimps etc..
CTO
Went there last night - was great value - fairly easy to find - no drama's - I think 300 baht a head for 11 of us including beer.
