I do prefer that you try the restaurant and I could not care less who you decide to support.

 

Great conspiracy theory:

One Samak is not the other? Who knows if he is not the real Samak trying to get a "feel" about the support he could get from the local expats?

You seldom see and hear about such a politician who one day says yes and the other says no.

 

(our politicians do the same but they wait a bit before changing their mind)

 

Anyway, he can not be that bad as he loves food

Have been going there for about a year as I live relatively close by. Good soft-shelled crab and extensive seafood menu (although I have not explored it fully). The Lab gai is good, as are some of the salads (I am fond of yam kaw muu yang) . Hopefully, the owner of Geb Tawan does not mess with the menu too much as I don't think much of the food in Geb Tawan itself.

 

In general, agree with what was said already, large selection, the non Issan food is pretty good too, relatively inexpensive, and pretty full of Thais eating most of the time, which usually speaks for quality and price.
