Michael Phelps swam to his fourth and fifth gold medals of this Olympics this morning to become the most golden Olympian in history.

:applause::bow::bow:

With a victory in the 200-meter butterfly at the Water Cube in a world record time of 1 minute, 52.03 seconds, Phelps earned his 10th overall gold medal in Olympic competition to pull clear of the tie he had been in with four legendary athletes: distance runner Paavo Nurmi of Finland (1920-28), Soviet gymnast Larysa Latynina (1956-64), swimmer Mark Spitz of the U.S. (1968-72) and U.S. track and field star Carl Lewis (1984-96).
