Was there a police escort? I read they are waiting for him at Heathrow, but didn't see anything about a police escort, British or otherwise.

As I said, he is either going to be in Suan Plu tonight or on a plane to London. Don't think Thailand is going to f*ck around with him much more.

Wonder if your buddy Drummond followed him back to Bangkok?

"But the BBC's Jonathan Head said the British policeman accompanying Glitter had been unable to persuade him to board the plane to the UK."

Cheers,

Thanks, I missed that.

Guess since he is not going to be arrested when he gets to London, the best the Brits could do was try and persuade him. Bet the Thais are going to be much more successful.

i hope the pictures of the 4000 children, some were catorgary 5 in seriousness (tortue etc) he had on his pc are ok now. he didn't make the pix, but creeps like him keep the supply/demand cycle strong. he should be forced back to the uk. passport taken and put under house arrest. he is human garbage.

The Thais have the authority to put him on a plane to anyplace they want. They don't have to give him a choice of destination. The only "kicker" is that the destination country might not take him, in which case he would be returned on the next flight back to Thailand. I suspect that the Thais are about through with this dude and say, "Hey dumbshit, only the UK will take you. Off you go!" (on a British Airways plane with British officers who will have jurisdiction once out of Thai airspace in case he wants to try any stupid moves.)

I agree basically with what you are saying and want to add a bit.

Why would he be returned back to Thailand if a country didn't want him? Why wouldn't he be sent back to Vietnam? I mean, Thailand has absolutely nothing to do with any of this other than this was the transfer point he picked. What if he would have initially chose Singapore or Manila, or etc.?? Thailand should just stick him in an immigration detention and forget about him for a few years if he wants to be here so badly.
