Two students shot on march to PM's home

Gunmen opened fire at a group of about 100 Ramkhamhaeng University students, wounding two, as they were marching to Prime Minister Samak Sundaravejâ??s residence to demand his resignation on Thursday night.

According to deputy police commissioner Jongrak Juthanon, the students gathered at a flat of the National Housing Authority on Soi Nawamin 6 to prepare for a march to Mr Samakâ??s home. Shortly after they started, a motorcycle passed and a gunman opened fire on the students at around 9.30pm.

The victims were identified as Anusak Sieng-oon and Apichart Polrit, both 22. They were reportedly attacked as they were walking on Soi Nawamin 17. Mr Samakâ??s residence is on Soi 81.

They were rushed to Sinpat hospital.

Yes I'm with you (live here, but not that long), but unless you plan to become a citizen you'll have no influence whatsoever on politics (strictly speaking you can't vote assuming democracy will prevail).

Of course that doesn't mean you can't be politically active or have an informed oppinion on things & thus let the thread roll on (as politics aren't bannned on this forum as it was on np.com)

It could have been anyone. It could have even been some random thugs. Or students of another university. Not proven having had anything to do with PPP or whomever.

I am personally getting fed up with both parties and wish the military would stage a coup and execute the government members, pad leaders, daad leaders and all the other trouble makers and corrupt sons of bitches. Unfortunately people might not understand ....
