TIT 3 to 6pm no doubt they will now be able to attend bible study classes down Beach Road gaining some deep understanding and penetrating insight into the position of missionaries. No but they will still get some deep penetration in the missionary position from 3:00 to 6:00pm You'll just need to have their phone # instead of meeting them at the bar. kamui Posted October 10, 2008 Report Share Posted October 10, 2008 From Thai Anxiety, dated October 8th: There was a city meeting today when more details about bar opening were revealed The prohibition on opening bars will be enforced citywide and bars will only be allowed to open between 6pm and 2am. The mayor and police have some very strict penalties in mind with 90 day closures, 30,000 Baht fines and even 2 month expulsions from Thailand for farang owners. Looks like difficult days to come! Mind you with people losing all their money through bank failures, etc., there may not be enough people around to visit the bars anyway. Soi 6: most bars entirely closed, but a few had the odd girl hanging around outside, dark inside, but I had the feeling you could have got inside for some action if you tried. But the wall to wall display of the workes wasn't there, which IMHO is the main attraction of SOI 6, being able to choose from a few hundred workers without having to go inside. Soi B seemed business as usual, and I found an OK ST there where the Camels drink. Drove down Beach Rd, the bars on corner of Soi 8 were open and crowded at 4.00 pm, so were the bars in front of Blue Lagoon, and in front of Pattaya Beer Garden. LookieLookie Posted October 11, 2008 Report Share Posted October 11, 2008 Since when do quality tourists go down soi 6 anyway? its quite far away from walking street and there are no attractions there other than the bars. how many sweedish backpackers or jap families do you see accidentally strolling down soi 6 and being shcoked by what they see? arent the other sois and walking street equally as shocking? New condos spreading, and a new, decent hotel/condo right on soi 6/1, aimed at Thai market. Soi 6 looks more and more like a pimple on the butt of an nasty girl, albeit an nasty girl that is doing a lot of plastic surgery. Underneath, she's still a nasty girl. koow Posted October 11, 2008 Report Share Posted October 11, 2008 "quality tourists" (whatever that is) would more likely be in the area of soi 6 than WS, since the former has MANY restaurants in the area, and, that part of beach rd. is infinitely "nicer" than the southern tip of beach rd.
