sayjann Posted November 13, 2008 Author Report Share Posted November 13, 2008 my Grandfather tried to enlist for the Army during WW1 but was found to be underage. he was finally accepted after 3 attempts and kept diaries throughout his Army career. he died in 1963 and my Uncle was devastated when he found out his Mum had thrown away the diaries after the funeral. i would have loved to have read those diaries...........
