belfastish Posted November 21, 2008 Report Share Posted November 21, 2008 on jan i do asia for 3 months,my money about $25k is in an australian bank,as the rate is shit i dont want to waste money on bank charges any time i lift money from the atm. is there any way around this,ie australian banks with no charges etc any ideas? br28016 Posted November 22, 2008 Report Share Posted November 22, 2008 Nationwide building society in the UK don't charge a fee for foreign cash withdrawals nor do they charge a foreign currency loading which most other UK banks seem to do. Don't charge a monthly fee either. Suspect it is a loss leader on the basis that not that many people will use the facility. Don't believe there are many other UK banks that do it.
