sayjann Posted December 8, 2008 Report Share Posted December 8, 2008 my Neighbour will be back at the weekend. he has spent 12 weeks upcountry with his girl and their baby and had a fine time. he can put his hand to anything and in his time there installed a toilet and shower system,re-tiled the roof,plastered the outside of the house and helped bring in the crops from the fields. he was due back at the beginning of the protest and travelled to BKK to see what the situation was. decided to go back to the village and wait until things quietened down. but he has a dilemna,she wants to come to the UK but he wants to live in Thailand and become a simple farmer/handyman. Australia or some places in the US I could understand but why the UK? (I ask this because my girlfriend might come to EU to work so we can be together but she too is thinking UK...) sayjann Posted December 8, 2008 Report Share Posted December 8, 2008 no point her going to the US or Ozland if he lives in the UK,wouldn't you agree. i suppose she thinks her life will improve 100% if she leaves Thailand. a life as a housewife looking after babies is probably more comforting then working the fields most Days.
