kamui
Belga and AFP: President of AOT announces that international passengers flights could restart tomorrow. Cheers I have heard that the bag scanners had been moved to the military airport and they need to be moved back to Swampy. Therefore I think we might have do dates: - the first passenger planes leaving - Swampy being fully functional again

drogon
Don't know, even if they ever closed SC or NEP (this one not a big loss) then you would have to invade the MP -> and I am pretty sure most Thais wouldn't like that

gobbledonk
Jesus Mentors - a sad, selfish part of me doesnt want the regular tourists to return to Thailand. Imagine if Thailand's tourism industry returned to its roots - only the hardiest of backpackers, military types on R'n'R and punters seeking more than just cheap t-shirts and a tour of the temples. Ah, what a glorious place it must have been in the 60's ! No middle-class Thais, no glittering shopping centres, no aircon and a long, bumpy ride in a DC-9 just to get there .... If I keep this up, my holiday will be spent in Luang Prabang wearing sandals and a bloody kaftan ...
