I've already made a similar statement on another thread, however, you have to take it in context. The album cover was made over 25 years ago in a more innocent era. Are we now going to cover up history by banning what is now not acceptable?

Do we now start banning classical litertature that was written many years ago but has references to homophobic or racial attitudes?

 

There's an Agatha Christie novel that was originally called "Ten Little Niggers". When that was deemed unacceptable the title was changed to "Ten Little Indians". That title was was then felt to be wrong, so the novel is now called "And Then There Were None".

Many Mark Twain books have been banned by schools as well...racial reasons, and homophobic reasons as well. Like wise J.D. Salinger's "Catcher in the Rye." All sorts of reasons to ban shit we don't like.

people are so anti pc driven just for the sake of it, sort of a backlash from too much silly pc, but then it becomes as dangerous.

Some loonies tried to get all of the Tarzan books banned, since they claimed Tarzan and Jane were "living in sin". If the idiots had ever read a book, they'd have found that Tarzan and Jane were properly married by a missionary. (Not sure who Cheetah's mama was though. Doesn't look like Jane.)

 

Twain's "Tom Sawyer" is actually an anti-slavery book, but since it is set around 1850 Huck uses the "N-word". That's the reason some groups have tried to have it banned.
