D&M Music Studio in association with Goethe Institute Thailand is pleased to present a piano recital by Na Nandhorn Boonruang & Ingvo Clauder from Germany.

Na Nandhorn BOONRUANG, born 1980 in Bangkok, Thailand, began playing piano at the age of 5 under the guidance of a 12-year Suzuki method and, later on, Ms. Norie Chinwanich. During this time, she took part in many concerts nationally and in Japan, as a soloist and a chamber musician.

After gaining her first degree in English (B.A.) at Chulalongkorn University, Thailand, Na Nandhorn Boonruang decided to persue her wish seriously for music and started a full-time study in 2001 at Trinity College of Music (Postgraduate Certificate), London, with John Bingham. From 2003-2007, receiving a scholarship from Hanns-Seidel Foundation, she took a further study in Kunstlerische Ausbildung (Diplom) at Hochschule fr Musik und Darstellende Kunst Stuttgart, Germany, with Florent Boffard and Nicolas Hodges. Since 2006, she has taken a Konzertfach course at Landeskonservatorium Vorarlberg, Austria, with Hans-Udo Kreuels, where she, in the same year, won the 1st prize of Bosendorfer Competition.

 

Ingvo CLAUDER was born 1976 in Berlingen, Germany and formed his musical language under the influence of Waldorf education and a 10-year-classical piano study with Hans-Udo Kreuels in Feldkirch, Austria, where he also obtained diplomas in Padagogy (IGP) and in Piano Performance (Konzertfach) in the year 1999 and 2003 respectively. From 2000 - 2002, he furthered the study in London and finished BMus with "First Class Honour" at Trinity College of Music with Anthony Green. During this time, Ingvo Clauder won the Gladys Puttick Memorial Prize for Extemporisation and the Mehroo and Byram Jeejeebhoy Prize for Achievement in Piano Playing. Since 2004, he has taken a Master Degree course at the Hochschule fr Musik und Darstellende Kunst Stuttgart, specialising in the contemporary piano performance with Nicolas Hodges. Also, he visited a Kunstlerische Ausbildung course in Composition/Computer Music with Ulrich Ssse and Marco Stroppa and gained its diploma early 2008.

 

Concerning activities, Ingvo Clauder dedicates himself primarily in free improvisation â?? with and without electronics â?? and jazz. He was invited to play with Aldo Lpez-Gavil n at the Havanna International Contemporary Music Festival 2004 in Cuba and with pdconception at Nattjazz 2005 in Bergen, Norway. In 2003, he co-founded a contemporary music platform "fonorum label & edition (www.fonorum.com)" with Lucas Dietrich.
