Thus imperial measures can still be applied. Caroline Flint the British minister in charge of Europe is happy.... I must say I didn't know the EU parliament had the power to enforce this on British pubs... Seems UK is far more "EU" than I thought, have to dig this out. Mekong Posted December 18, 2008 Report Share Posted December 18, 2008 Good job really, as I don't know anyone of any age in the UK that can work in Litres, Kilos etc :nahnah: I Do Metric system is a lot easier to work with than the imperial system, I mean FFS there are 2 imperials, UK has 20 FLOZ / Pint US is 16 FLOZ. Watch out for storms, and don't get hit by huge hailstones. 200ml: A Seven, a Glass, or a Beer. They might have a whinge at you for ordering a Beer though. 285ml: A Middie.
