Faustian
Or Man-of-little-power...maybe more appropriate. Anyway mentors, it's your fault...you curse them by starting these "notice the (insert incompetent power hungry corrupt politician here) government" threads. Good god Thailand is in a right old state. It's gone way beyond farcical.

Mentors
Suthep offers to talk with Thaksin Acting Prime Minister Suthep Thaugsuban said on Wednesday he was ready to hold talks with former prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra in a bid to end the week-long blockade of Government House. About 2,000 red-clad Thaksin loyalists remain camped outside Government House after a mass march by up to 30,000 supporters of the United Front for Democracy against Dictatorship last Thursday. UDD leaders say they plan another mass protest on April 9. "The government is ready to hold talks with Thaksin wherever to make our country peaceful," Mr Suthep, the deputy prime minister in charge of security, told reporters, AFP reported. "But some of his demands are impossible, such as the dissolution of the house," he said. He added: "I am ready to open talks with Thaksin as he's the real protest leader and decision-maker. I will wait for his reaction this evening." Thakskin has been phoning-in to his supporters every night since the protest started. Mr Suthep is acting prime minister while Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva is in London for the G20 summit as current chairman of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean). http://www.bangkokpost.com/breakingnews/139276/suthep-offers-to-talk-with-thaksin hear hear! again my question: Is there someone nervous? Mentors
Abhisit's vehicle attacked by red-shirted protesters in Pattaya Pattaya - Traffic snarl caused the vehicle of Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva to be trapped by angry red-shirted protesters who hit the vehicles and pelted them with water bottles Tuesday afternoon. The attack happened at 1:15 pm when Ahbisit's official car and a Toyota Prado of the security officials were trapped in traffic snarl at intersection heading to South Pattaya Road. Initially, two red-shirted people on a motorcycle, who dispersed from the rally at the Pattayal Cliff Beach Hotel, recognized Abhisit's car and alerted their red-shirted friends to surround it. The security officials then had Abhisit moved to the Prado so that they could escape the surround. But the number of protesters quickly grew to about 50 and they surrounded both two vehicles and pelted the vehicles with water bottles apart from hitting the vehicles with feet clappers. Security officials managed to escort Abhisit to the Prado but a woman waded through police to stick her head inside the vehicle to shout at the prime minister. A protester used his motorcycle to block the way of the Prado which eventually ran over it. After thee-minute tussle, the Prado managed to run out of the surround but some protesters ran after it and shook the car and hit it with bottles and a helmet, causing a hole at the back window. The vehicle managed to escape the protesters eventually. http://www.nationmultimedia.com/breakingnews/30099819/Abhisits-vehicle-attacked-by-red-shirted-protester
TroyinEwa/Perv
Saw this on this tele which I'm sure alot of you did here. I just can't believe a)that it was allowed to happen and b)that nothing happened to the offenders. The cops just kind of smiled and pushed them back as the red-shirts were opening doors and smashing the back window with a helmet. The restraint the cops are showing is admirable. Can you imagine if this happened to the leader of a country that actually had some protection? They perpetrators would be at the very least apprehended and most likely beaten to a pulp or worse. Flashermac
Samak and Somchai would never have allowed that crap to happen. Why didn't the police have exploding CS grenades to blow off legs and kill people?
