Nutters....they could have won if they had been totally peaceful all along....

Of course, what to expect when the master is saying "fight fight"...

:dunno:

agree, but it's dubious that no one really ask about the role of the Blue Shirts which provoke parts of the Red Shirts.

OK, maybe the blue shirts were paid provocators....or maybe they were local people pissed by the reds (bar owners thugs)

No matter what: If the reds had had the guts to play victims ...-> they could have won....maybe

Three charged in arson conspiracy

Three men were arrested on Monday night while preparing to fire-bomb a major bank and a commercial office tower on Silom road, national police chief Gen Patcharawat Wongsuwan said on Tuesday.

"Three men were arrested. One of them confessed," Pol Gen Patcharawat said during a press conference broadcast nationally on television.

The men were identified as Pornchai Aksornwit, 52, Suriya Pho-ngern, 54, and Sakan Sangfueng, 55.

Police spokesman Watcharaphon Prasarnratchakit said the three were arrested in a grey pickup parked near the BTS Chong Nonsi skytrain station about 8.40pm on Monday. Police took 49 petrol-bombs, a petrol container, four pistols, six mobile phones and 77 bullets from the men, he said.

One man confessed and said they were paid 5,000 baht to fire-bomb two buildings on Silom road, the Bangkok Bank head office and the CP Tower. Chong Nongsi station is near both buildings.

They were paid 2,000 baht in advance, he said.

"We did not make up evidence. One of the men confessed to the crime," Pol Gen Patcharawat said.

Deputy Prime Minister Suthep Thaugsuban, who was at the news conference, said the arrests followed the formation of a special unit under the committee in charge of solving the emergency situation. The unit consisted of civilians, soldiers and police.

"It is fortunate that nothing bad happened last night [Monday]," he said.
