sayjann Posted February 6, 2009 Report Share Posted February 6, 2009 a little late but last Tuesday(3-2-09)was the 50th anniversary of Buddy's death. a true legend in the history of rock'n'roll. the Beatles first record on vinyl was 'not fade away'. and the Stones had a hit with the same song. he was an inspiration to many up and coming bands in the future. and he was one of the masters of the short record. so young to die at the age of 22................ but we must not forget Richie Valens and the Big Bopper who died on that day...... Used to work with music bands and an occasional band member refused to fly prop planes, out of fright he might end up the same as Buddy! Lynard Skynard was decimated by a plane crash as well.
