Faustian Posted March 31, 2009 Report Share Posted March 31, 2009 Got the clan arriving for Songkran and need to pick them up from the airport, but too much stuff and people for a taxi or limo, so need some alternatives and no idea where to look... 4 people and suitcases, plus additional clutter. So, any ideas on transport? Need to hire a driver and minivan or extra big vehicle of some description...never done this before. jai-dee Posted March 31, 2009 Report Share Posted March 31, 2009 Just get 2 taxis. Depends how far you need to go. I once rented a mini van and drove 9 people to Lampang and back to Krungthep. It cost only about 50% more than a sedan. On the other hand, it's amazing how much you can load into a Bangkok taxi. We were 5 (all right 3 were children), 2 large suitcases, 2 small ones, several bags, baby carrier, backpack, and we all managed to fit in one, plus the driver of course, and most of the boot was taken by the gas tank.
