..
Your days as a beer-slurping, overly-lush-golf-course playing, high-cash-flow, tax-dodging, Thai-village-supporting, neo-colonial sex-tourist days might be drawing to a dramatic and abrupt close...(hat tip to E@L) http://www.treasurer.gov.au/DisplayDocs.aspx?doc=pressreleases/2009/066.htm&pageID=003&min=wms&Year=&DocType=0 Cheers, SD
Sakai
I know an Aussie bird back here who is going to whine, and not of pleasure. Hope similar measures won't be adopted by other western countries.
Torneyboy
However, many foreign countries are lower tax jurisdictions which means some Australians who earn income overseas are paying much less tax than if they earned income solely in Australia. Typical off a Labor Government.....
Sakai
I think some Aussies will find this measure stupid, simply because the cost of living and salaries are different form one country to another.
bust
Sounds fair enough. I guess now the contractors etc will work for a set up foreign company to just dodge the new legislation. This is all Howards fault.....asleep at the wheel for so many years
unit731
Why pay any income taxes if one is not in home country? You are not using any of the services of home country. Half of my taxes in my home country go to the public schools. I don't have any kids in these schools. Why should I pay for these kid? Let the people who have children pay for the schooling of such.
