Faustian
Fergie is obviously getting desperate...all the stars and money are off to Spain. Fabregas looks like he might go too! How long before Torres buggers off? Will the premier league have any real stars left soon?
devils reject
Money money money. I read somewhere recently that imported footballers only pay about 25 % in taxes in Spain in the first few years compared to 50 % in England . Combine that to the weak pound and there you have the answer.
sayjann
i have to agree with Mr.Munchmaster. Owen will be a free transfer and that will save on the overall cost. 'if' the media is to believed then his wages will be cut and his overall wages will be performance based. he 'could' be a good signing for Utd. Utd will play around 50 games next season and if he features in 50% then he will score goals. i would rather have him upfront than Berbatov............ Faustian
I'd rather have the munchmaster up front than mr floppy greasy hair... Actually, that's not true. But the opposition need only breathe in his general direction and Owen will get injured. I'm losing faith rapidly. I know the pound sucks at the moment, but surely footballers are motivated by more than just money....what about that fabulous Manchester weather, the delightful english food and the slim attractive northern english girls?? The_Munchmaster
I'd rather have the munchmaster up front than mr floppy greasy hair... Thanks for that. As long as there is no running involved I might just score a few. :content:
sayjann
looks like my claim to fame has just flown out the window. years ago i was at OT watching a Utd/Liverpool game and Owen was sent off for fouling Schmeichel. as he walked off i was seen on Sky Sports/MOTD etc standing up giving him the 'v' sign and shouting "f*** off you scouse c***". my actions were seen by many friends and work collegues. i have a smile on my face at the moment at the thought of Owen scoring the winner against Liverpool in front of the Kop.....
