..
Hard to believe it was forty years ago. Man I feel old. I remember being glued to the TV in awe. You? Here's a great site to relive the memories: http://wechoosethemoon.com -- done in real time. Very, very cool. Cheers, SD
TroyinEwa/Perv
Just read a story somewhere, probably yahoo, that NASA taped over the original moon landing footage. They have since sent out the film to Hollywood and they said it's about 40% finished and looks better than the original. Will be cool to see the finished product. 40 years, huh? I was 2. I wasn't glued to anything except my crib, most likely.
..
I was just the right age for it, almost seven. Old enough to get it and young enough to fly away with them in my imagination and just be awe struck. Cheers, SD

Flashermac
I only read about it in the papers afterwards. I was otherwise occupied in the Vietnamese Central Highlands at the time. Link

radioman
Was 8 years old in UK. Remeber my parents waking me up to come watch on the TV. We had but one channel and in black and white. Was definitely my first JFK moment. One of the few things my parents understood I was interested in. About 15 years ago I was in Baltimore for work. Drove to D.C. and did the Smithsonian. Blew me right back to 1969, truly awesome.
