The_Munchmaster
Troy in Ewa posted this earlier today, "Just got a 40 baht haircut, I'm on my 3rd alcoholic beverage and Tiger is not leading after the third round in the SPORT called golf. Life is good", which got me thinking, "What are people paying for haircuts these days?"
The_Munchmaster
I pay Dhs 150 in Dubai for a wash and cut, which is the equivalent of about Baht 1,300. Seems a bit pricey but that's Dubai for you.
TroyinEwa/Perv
I'm probably overpaying at 40 baht cuz I could get a shave with the straight razor included but my gf probably paid him extra to "accidently" cut me. Best part is location. 8 condos on my level, me at one end and him at the other end of the hall. About 20 paces and I'm there.
MooNoi
I pay about $20 AUD (560 baht) here in Oz. So I always get a haircut when I'm in LOS or Asia. Last week I paid 150 baht for a haircut in Pattaya. (No extras - but I think they could have been available!!)
jon46
When in Bangkok, I go to barber shop for locals and pay 60 baht for a haircut and shave. Good deal!
Tiger Moth
In BKK, I used to pay 60 baht in a small shop owned by two very decent looking Thai ladies in their twenties. Of course, I could have walked around the corner a short distance, to a nice salon and paid 150 baht for a less professional cut in a nice ambiance. In Pattaya, I pay 80 baht. dean
When I first started going to Bangkok, I paid 150 baht. The lady that I bought furniture from owed a salon next door. I got married, moved just outside of Chiang Mai and got a haircut and shave for 50 baht. Now that I live back in Kansas Ciry for at least another 6 years, I pay $15.00. I do get my Thai massages done for free by my wife, which helps out after a particularly long day of either installing or sanding a wood floor.
